NJRPFA members,

We'll be meeting for the first time in 2023 on Thursday February 16, 2023 at 1200 hrs at the Willingboro FOP hall, 4136 US Rte 130 North, Beverly NJ.

2022 was a good year for NJRPFA. We forged alliances with the FOP and the PFANJ as well as the COLA Forum on Face Book. Together, we've made substantial progress towards returning COLA. We've also made our presence known on the pension board. We endorsed and elected Steve Trowbridge to be our new retired representative, with the help of our friends in the FOP and the COLA forum. Thank you FOP President Bob Fox and our Trustee , Ken Buck.

Despite PFRS regularly violating the open public meetings act and the open public records acts, we persevered. Yes, we've gotten documents months after we demanded them that we're completely blacked out to make them useless. Yes, the PFRS president blocked out 70 seats, making them unavailable to us, at a meeting heavily attended by retirees, just to inconvenience us and especially our handicapped members. But we're still showing up in numbers. We aren't going to be deterred from fighting for our COLA and transparency on this board. Even if we have to go to court to get it done.

Our membership continues to grow as well. People are voting with their feet and leaving the moribund retiree group that's done absolutely zero for retirees. $55 per year for the ham sandwich of the month club isn't going over too well. Tell your retired friends that we're here and we're working to get that COLA back!
